When Nikie Aliporo and Margareth Pena began our scholarship program as 6th graders in 2014, they were shy and quiet and their families were struggling to pay for basic needs like food and transportation. Over the years, we were able to help Nikie and Margareth by covering school fees and tuition, providing laptops, and paying for internet during the remote learning years. Fast forward to today, and both Nikie and Margareth graduated from college with degrees in Education, completed student teaching programs, and passed their exams to work as teachers. Margareth is now teaching at a private middle school in Cebu and Nikie has decided to change directions to pursue a career at a technical firm starting in a call center. Both young ladies are passing on the generosity by supporting their siblings currently in school.
